LibriVox recording of No. 17 (Number 17) by Joseph Jefferson Farjeon.
Read in English by czandra
A thriller about a down-and-out sailor finding his way in London. The book followed a successful play that was filmed by Alfred Hitchcock, and even made into a silent film. Its humour is irresistible. - Summary by Czandra

The story starts out a bit confusing. Just like the fog that they're trying to see through, what the heck is going on is just as foggy. But the character Ben is a hoot, and Czandra reads his cockney so well! I laughed several times at Ben's comments. Lightweight on the plot, but a fun listen nevertheless. Thanks, Czandra!
